Post 8 - A subject you enjoyed studying this term

This semester of the career contains five fixed subject and the corresponding electives, in my case English and a Transversal.

Of the seven subject, my favorite is architecture and earthquakes, this is basically about mathematics and physics. They teach us the strategies and ways to build a building so that it can withstand an earthquake.

Personally, I always liked the numbers and the calculations, even if they are not so easy but with effort and concentration it is very entertaining to understand. Many people hate that branch because it is quite difficult, but if you think about it, it is one of the most important branches of the career because if in a future as a professional you do this wrong, many people could be affected.

I can conclude that my favorite subject of this semester is Architecture and earthquakes because I like mathematics a lot and although it costs me, I think it is very interesting to know how we can improve buildings so they do not get damaged by earthquakes and improve the quality of life of people and their concerns when witnessing an earthquake.

These two pages are the two main ones that I occupy to inspire me or draw references from architectural projects. In the first link (https://www.plataformaarquitectura.cl/cl) you can find different projects from around the world, these are not only project images but they contain all the project information, the architects, the plans, measurements, location, among other important data. This is one of the most important and famous pages that exist in architecture since all projects end up presented on this page. On the other hand the second link (https://www.pinterest.cl/) is a standard page where you can find everything you are looking for - like in Google - but only with images or links that can direct the search to other pages with more information These images help a lot when looking for ideas, inspiration, texture techniques, colors, objects such as furniture, people or vegetation. All these elements are very important when drawing your project, as in objective images, cuts, elevations, plants and other schemes that complement the project.

What's your favourite TV show / film?

In the Discovery Home and Health channel, there are many programs mainly for food, house remodeling and wedding dresses. Of course my favorite television show is that of wedding dresses. However, I like the other programs a lot because as an architecture student I am very interested in home remodeling programs and I also like to cook a lot, especially baking, so it can be said that the channel is my favorite. This program of wedding dresses is called "Wedding dress", is directed by Randy, who is also the main character of the series. These are brides who go to New York in search of a dress for their wedding mainly cheap. These are women who come from different places in the world and come with different ideas and tastes. All the chapters consist of the same, three brides who in parallel are willing to try on all the dresses that are necessary before finding their indicated dress. That's why I can not say that I have a favorite episode, they are all very similar and different at the same time. I like this program because from a very young age, it was always my dream to get married and enter the church dressed in white. Nowadays I am bigger and my dream is still that great moment. I think that's why I like that program so much. Something very special about the program is when the brides feel that they found their ideal dress and usually get so excited that they come to mourn with happiness, in that moment Randy asks them the big question "Did you find your dress?".

It is a very entertaining program and teaches you how to choose a dress that flatters your body and the style of the wedding.

DO YOU WANT TO BE MY PARTNER?

In 2016, I left school and had the graduation party. At that time I had Jaime as a friend, so I invited him to the party to accompany me as my partner. We were going out a while ago but I never imagined what would happen that night. After the ceremony with the parents and dinner the party began, I was with my friends dancing and suddenly I heard that they called me by the microphone towards the center of the dance floor, they also called everyone to come closer. I got there and I see Jaime with the microphone, I got very nervous and saw how everyone looked at us. Jaime began to say very nice and romantic things about us, then at the end of his speech I hear him ask me "Do you want to be my partner?". I got very nervous but also very happy because Jaime made me very happy and I really wanted to be with him, so I told him yes and I hugged him very hard. The picture shows when Jaime asks me the question, that's why you can see my surprise face. It was a very happy and unforgettable moment, today we are still together and have been together for two and a half years.

MY FAVORITE HOBBIES
The truth as a person i do not have many hobbies because i do not have so much free time but leaving sleeping and resting, somethings i like to do from time to time when going out to eat restaurant, going to dance to the discotec and especially go to see new movies to cinema. i seem very exciting to see movie saga or see new movies constantly as going to the movie is not simply to see television, it is an experience to leave with your family or friends or couple, to be comfortable, to eat pop corn, to leave the house and can exit excited when the movie is good. On the other side i also like a lot to go to the movie and choose any movie randomly, without knowing that it is anything or without having seen the trailer. you could take a great surprise and would recommend it to anyone, even knowing that you can not like the movie.

I personally occupy many technological devices during the day, for example the cell phone, the computer, the television, the radio, speakers and many more. The main ones in my life are the cell phone and the computer because in this career, architecture, one of the main tools is the computer and the different programs that we use to develop our work. On the other hand the cell phone contains all the necessary information that we use every day and other entertainment applications such as social networks or games. The cell phone is no longer a simple device but in your home, it began to function as a tool in life, both to work, to communicate, entertain and inform. However for many people, including myself, it is more like an addition and I really could not live without my cell phone nearby forever.

When I was at school I thought I would study something related to mathematics because I liked them a lot, on the other hand I was very creative so at the time of choosing a career my parents helped me to choose something that I would like to work with in the future. After different conversations and analyze points of view I came to think of architecture or civil engineering, but my father worked a lot with architects and recommended architecture to me because it was more entertaining or didactic. Now I'm in my third year of university and I really like my career. However, every career has its downside, here it sleeps little, you always lack time, are many hours of work and you have to leave your life aside to advance semester to semester.
